Cockpit goodies....

Just installed an Apexi AVC-R in the ash tray,Defi BF on the pillar,and a Defi display behind the steering wheel,which will control pressure and soon tell me oil press,oil temp,water temp,fuel press and boost when i get the turbee in:D

Is it too much??,i wasnt in favour of adding 4 gauges along the dash!...

dosent the one on ur speedo block ur view of the warning lights, and the speedometer, but this definetly beats the 4 gauges next to each other

Yip,its not as bad as the pic makes it seem...i can still see most of the dash by leaning forwards...but the Defi display now shows vehicle speed and most of the warnings that it covers on the dash....

i like how its all flashy with the blue!

everything is like differnt, like u use celcius, i use fairenhight (spelling) u use the 24 hours thing - i use 12 hours, you use kilometers, i use miles LoL and not to mention your car is right-side drive . everything seems backwards but i like it!!!

im intrested in the thing you have in the ash tray - what is it ? whats it do ?

the thing in the ash tray is a boost controller,has all sorts of other functions too...

Everything looks good man.. I love the gauge on the a-pillar. the boost controller in the ashtray is sleek.. very nice.
all in all.. nice.. maybe a lil too rice.. but still lookin good.
so whens the turbo goin in?.. have you even bought a turbo yet?!

hmmm yeh spose i better buy a turbo now:D

its all happening,just in order is all....Iv today picked up a new crank pully seal and should have the new smaller crank pully mounted tonight...iv shifted the alternator and bought the N/A belt...found out the N/A system runs a smaller Alt pully so im waiting on that to finish the belt system...
still need to feed the Boost control with RPM,throttle position(if i can find it)and maybe vehicle speed.
and install the 4 sensors that are hanging over the engine at the mo...
it will most likely be after xmas before the turbo is in as the fabricator for the manifold will be away....
and also i need like 3000 to do manifold and buy turbo...its almost xmas and living an't cheap at that time of year also!
but i'll get there:cool:

picked the alt bracket up for $20 retails $185...

nice.. at least ya got some good prices on the parts!.. ask me before ya look around.. all its gonna cost ya is shipping if I do have a part you need. but then again.. shipping may cost more then you actually finding the part in your area!
question for ya.. do ya wanna get rid of your sc boost side flange at all?!!

thanks,yeh i would think the shipping would be costly!!,i dont think i'll do much with the SC flange,i'll wait till the turbo is on and functioning before i part!.
but if your still keen when its all up and running I'll get a price for shipping(cheap,its light and small)and you can have it for free!

hey also would you know the diameter of the 230 n/a alternator pully??,local supplies dont have them in stock and i wanna be sure before i order!,im pretty sure there all the same on the 180,220,230?!?!....

yea the Apexi AVCR is a boost control,i got it of trademe:D
the guy i bought it from is an organiser of D1NZ,has that white S15 GTmotorsports drift car with gold Advav RG's that was in the NZperformance car mag a couple of years ago,it was packed with Defi and Apexi gear!....

get me some pics when you have that unit in!
