202 mixed with 203

do you guys think a 203 front clip meaning fenders hood and bumper would fit on a 202 ? sure would look nice if it fitted perfectly with no gaps anywhere ... should i give it a shot since i have a white 202 and my mom has a white 203 ?

im gonna have to say no, i doubt that the parts will transfer over, and it will most likely look ugly, there was a member here who did a 210 eclass front conversion, and the roundness just didnt match the squarness of our cars, since 203 is also pretty round im gonna have to say it wont look so hot.....

if your willing to go through all the work ,be unsatisfied in the end, go through the work again to get back to what you started with...then dooo it. hehe but im sure everyone here will agree that it will look absolutely...ugly and if you like the w203 then go "borrow" it from your mom, for a few weeks that is :D

ur car would look like the 202 that was converted to the orange s class, wich i think was unanimous that this was the ugliest 202 ever (except that s class had cool SL lights in the back ur car would have nuthing :silly: )

yea ok i see what you guys mean ... so the 203 on a 202 is out of the question.

yea i keep tellin my mom to buy me a better car like an M3 or sumthing that is at least manual - but NO, shes like i gave you that 202 be happy and when you get a stable job you can buy whatever you can payevery month. and she isnt letting me sell it because she thinks ill buy some honda instead (ok im not that stupid here) im stuck upgrading this thing and in a way its good because my 202 is like a Lab rat i test everything out on it LoL Ehh well i got it for free and i dont even have a lisence to drive (even tho ive been driving it everywhere since i got it) i guess im just spoiled. ... and im happy with the 202 when i look at what my friends got as first cars HeeHee :D

If you want a manual car just get a tranny from Europe do a swap. Then put your self a nice OEM body kit like an amg drop it ut some nice wheels and if you have money super charge it or do a custom turbo kit! the 202s are beautiful cars when you know how to customize it!!

the 202 got soo much potential its pretty scary, there are soo many things you can do to your car, the only thing stopping you is how much cash you got
you can see some cars on this forum wich would make a mb hater believe in the 202

i guess u r quite blessed to be able to use your 202 as a lab rat to test things on. by all means, if u want to try the bumper swap, do it. though most of us here don't think it would look good (including me) but nonetheless is something to go for.

I have seen 208 and 203 front ends on a 202...didn't like either one - the 202 is too boxy for a curved front end...

ok, screw the 203 conversion idea.

what i really liked is the SL hood on a 202 - but that means i have to use an SL bumper right ? also does the hood just bolt right on like that, or is there modifications required ?

again i can basically guarantee that the hood wont be a direct fit, im pretty damn sure the sl is much wider than a 202, so the hood is gonna b wider also

not to shoot down you dream or nothing but if you dont acually know what you are doing, i doubt very much body peices off any other mercedes will fit on to our w202s with out alot of modification and a good body shop...

I know a great body shop and i know the ppl very well so they give me hookups on things.

i understand ur need to be unique, its good that you want your car to stand out, but i said it before and i will say it again stick to the conventional body kits available for our 202's, they imho look much better and you dont need to alter anything to get them to fit on, they are made for your car by profesionals taking everything from aerodynamics to crumble zones into consideration....

well i dont have any other 203 bumpers so yea,

good point - i was thinking of just trying that on and put the 203 back together, then buy the same 203 kit for my 202 but what does it matter im not even going to try.
