Hey everyone, a few days ago I installed a back-up camera on my C43. The install turned out to be very clean! And the camera works really good. And the best part is that I got the camera for only $20 from ebay and the entire install totalled only $50. Here are some pictures. Its located above the licence plate under the overhang where the licence plate lights are. Let me know what you think. Thanks

Click this for the camera (http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Mini-Wired-Pinhole-Color-Camera-Nanny-Spy-Cam-CCTV_W0QQitemZ5839794466QQcategoryZ48629QQrdZ1QQcm dZViewItem)

thats the camera... the place where I installed the camera is perfect on a W202. The center screw above the licence plate comes out and provides a perfect hole for the wiring to enter the trunk. Looks Realllly clean!

at night it automatically turns to Black and white/ Green mode.... so it still works... but not nearly as well as during the day... But if its nighttime that your looking for, They have Infa-Red cameras that are the same size as mine like this INFARED CAMERA (http://cgi.ebay.com/LATEST-Wireless-Colour-Infrared-PinHole-CCTV-Camera_W0QQitemZ5839005143QQcategoryZ48632QQrdZ1QQ cmdZViewItem)

that would be perfect for recording race videos, so is there a way to make it record?

One of my friends hooked up a regular USB camera to his desktop and mounted it in front of his STI. Looked really good, he even got sound on it, I would think this would be the same thing just hook up that camera to you're laptop some how.

Ran the wires through the hole i mentioned above the licence plate, and inside the trunk i unclicked the grey trunklining on the underside of the trunk when you open it, then ran the wires under that and down one of the U shaped arms that holds the trunk to the car, then click the trunk lining back in, and from there all the way to the head unit. Cant see one wire any where! and Mine has sound too! and im sure you could record somehow.

looks clean, i was also thinking of doing this, mounting it in the key lock area, but didn't really want to loose that. from this clean install and size, its not bad. any more pics, also night ones too would be great.

also, the wires go in the screw hole where that little strip is above the plate? how is it secured to the vehicle, tape?

it seems like a cool idea, but really what is the point of it???? i mean what CAN u record while driving? i dont see the reason for it, even though its good technology

You made fun of his Jenson display a while back. I recall you laughed and asked why a POS jenson would be put in a benz. You sound like John Kerry. :p

That car looks awesome. I wish I had a white one. Lower that thing ASAP and your set bro!!!
