AIR INTaKE PROBLEMS

I just recently installed this custom intake for the 99 c230k. I have had my car in the garage put away for the winter since november. I havnt really had a chance too drive with it installed, so I let it run once an while while in the garage. Today I let it run for 20 min or so and the K+N filter was leaking OIL, and the engine TEMP. was close too 3 quarters from over heating. I guess with the breather hose I needed a custom oil box for it not too get into the filter.



I need too know weather or not I could have messed some sh*t up. I know now I just have too re-install the stock sh*t.

hey,
sounds alittle odd there is oil coming out(of the valve cover) when the engine is just idleing...
usually oil comes out under higher engine RPM thus more blow-by...

Have you removed the stock oil seperator?,if you have you will need to install a new oil catch can...
if you havn't removed the stock seperator,then the system maybe blocked and may require a good clean out!...

Give your MAS sensor a few days to fully deteriorate now and you'll lose major power.

Those stupid air filters like they really do much anyways...:rolleyes:
