hey everyone! i'm currently upgrading my sounds but i'm finding it difficult to get the casing of the speakers off, just wondering what sizes are they(front door and rear door) and whats the maximum size i can fit in there!
Cheers!

the year of your car would help. but i have a 95 c280 with bose. it orignally had 4.5" bose in the front doors and 3.5" bose in rear doors. you can simply replace the rear doors with any 3.5" speaker. the front doors, u need a 4" speaker and a speaker adapter has to be mad or bought because bose has 3 mounting screws and aftermarket has 4 screws. i don't have this setup anymore because i went custom and put 5.25" in rear doors with alot of work and 5.25" in custom kickpanels. front doors are empty now but the setup i showed you will work. here is a link to buy the adapters for the fronts. i bought these from this place. very quick shipping. let me know how it turns out. http://www.mjmautoinnovations.com/sakb45t4.htm

no problem. glad everything worked out for you. yeah you can fit 6 1/2 in the front doors but u gotta be cafeful bout the depth of the speaker. i chose 5 1/4 in the front but in kick panels and my front doors are empty now. take it easy, jay
