i own a 96 c280, the one with the inline-6 motor. i have noticed a dramatic change in the gas mileage i've been getting, from when it was new until now, before i would get about 300 miles to a full tank but now i only get low 200's. is this normal or is there somethign i should be worrying about? and also, i would like to kno wut kind of mileages are you guys getting out there, from a full tank. Thanks in advance. any help is highly appreciated.

also, keeping your car tuned makes a big difference in gas mileage and performance. dirty oxygen sensor is another reason for bad gas mileage.

If you experience a big drop in fuel economy on a newer car. Your car is probably retarded, i mean retarding your spark to avoid knock or poor fuel combustion. Either the knock sensor or most likely the oxygen sensor. You get less bang for your buck/power with a retarded car. Nothing to greatly worry about, but it will shorten a motors life from 200k to 150k, if it were to run the life of the motor like this.
