updating steering wheel + airbag

can i update my 95 w202 steering wheel + airbag to a 97+ sport version one? will my srs light come up? are they compatible?

Yes, you can use any 1992-1999 wheel/airbag. Of course there were some airbag changes through the years, which can make it difficult to match a specific wheel to a specific airbag, but assuming you pull the wheel/bag off together, then you should be good.

One thing to note, you may need to swap out the innards and horn contact ring.
