i personally like the second ones better because they keep the lighting shape of the OEM lenses.. and by the looks of it it seems that you can actually fit the OEM lenses over the LEDs. also because they are much cheaper!

What's up guys? I got my tail light from ebay. I got them off racing dimension. they look great and it gives you car a very clean look! Also the led are very powerful and it a great update for your cars!

Im from Germany (Bavaria, Munich), and know MXCAMG ;)

We (8-10 Person) are specially interested in this (http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/6666/picture8at.jpg) LED Tail Lights!

But ALL Seller of these Taillights answer me, that they doesnt ship international! And then I´ve said that 10 Persons are Interested and want to buy they!

Hmmm... Nothing! They answer every Time the same sh... !

Then I and MCXAMG came to the Idea, that the US 202 Forum can help us?!

However! Here is my Question to you dear 202Friends!

Is it possible that anybody of the Forum can buy the LED TAIL LIGHTS and ship it to Germany?

we could try to do a large group buy, then ship the ten for the Deutschen to one person who can then ship everything overseas. you ten would probably end up paying more so that one of us could ship them to you, if that would be ok. I'm guessing that if we get 15 or more interested, they'd give us a nice discount

I tried using one of these, but it didn¡¯t work out as I expected.
First of all, rear stoplight didn¡¯t work. It did light up, but didn¡¯t brighten up when I stepped on the brake.
Another problem that I could not solve was the ¡°light bulb warning light¡± that stayed on. This was irritating.
Third problem was that the rear fog light didn¡¯t work, obviously, as this product has no fog lights. But I¡¯d prefer to have them.

So what I did was I went back to the OEM lights except for the lenses.
However, this is not perfect either as the upper stoplight, now, has no reflector. The OEM had a big reflector and a separate, smaller reflector for the upper stoplight that could not be detached.
If there is anyone who solved all or at least some these problems, or if it is just me who¡¯s having these problems, a good advice will be appreciated.

I dont think, that the all LED Taillights have these problems!

That is one of hundred what got these problems! And if "we" order this Taillights, I dont want that they got such problems!!!

@jstrat85... From what seller you have bought your Taillights? I ("we") want to buy the same one... But if they dont got the foglights, it will be very bad for us German people... Because the "TüV" dont smile in such things!One other question... Are on the LED Taillights the E11 Mark (Grade?)?!... The ones that I bought look like the second image posted above. Not like the one you have linked to.
I bought it at ebay.
As for the light bulb warning light, I think it is caused from absence of rear fog lamp bulb.

i have also been thinking of getting these lights and smoking them but i was a bit weary of the problems ive heard about LED taillights and how they make the "light-out" warning light stay and i thought that would be quite annoying.

Anyone with LED tails, please post pics so us that are interested can make up our minds. I'm going to smoke them so it doesn't matter if they are silver or red. Quality is the key.

I called up racing dimension and I spoke to them and they told me that the company whom use to make there lights went out of business. the lights? I love them! worth every penny! The only thing I did to them was change the water seal and I put on my OEM water seal.

one advice before you do this... DO NOT tint them to dark. I had been caught by the police like thrice for having such a low taillight visibility at night. The problem I realized when I had done my tails is that the LED appears like individual dots instead of lighting up the whole lower part of the light like this...

I am going to buff down the tint when the cold is gone here in the midwest and recoat them with clear coat. Hoping that it will give out a more intense light.

BTW out of the 3 police encounter, I escaped 3 times! You always say that the part comes like that! :D

yeap, this exact taillight tinted and mounted on my car. germanparts4you? ebay seller? website? any link?

This is how my led lights look from behind.
There are one or two connectors that came connected and a third one (inside the lower red circle) that came disconnected when the box was open.

I connected the third one as well as the main connector to the car.
And the result was as I posted before, not as I thought it would be. The red lights stayed lit regardless of the brakes, the light bulb warning came on and the rear fog lights did not lit up.

I don¡¯t know where I went wrong in the process of connecting. If the lights are defected I think I¡¯ll be able to get a refund or a new set. (But I think this is very unlikely because both R/L lights are showing the same symptom.)

I finally figured it out. I got my LED light working with the fog lights, parking lights

Now only thing that I have to figure out is how to turn the light bulb warning light off. I think the warning light is lit because of the LED bulbs that the car does not recognize as a proper bulb.

So.. The answer to my problem was ... to leave the unplugged wires as it is. I don't know what they are for, but if connect them, the lights stays on.

If any one can give me an advice on how to plug the bulb warning light off, it would be appreciated.

I can't really assist with your particular problem, but I can tell you that with the LED tail lights on my car, there is no bulb out indicator, the resistor packs included prvent this. I don't see them in your pictures, maybe this is the problem?

From the picture, I can see that there is two resistor packs each connected to the what looks alike the two unconnected wires on mine. But are the resistors supposed to be included? Becasue no images of LED lights for w202 provided by the sellers on ebay show the resisters.

They were included on mine, I suspect without them, the lights either wont work correctly or you would get the bulb out indicator, not sure.
