Ok guys, im looking for a new rear muffler for my exhaust system. I have no idea what is out on the market for the 202 these days and would like to get input. The following is a description of what im trying to acheive.

I really like the sound level of the E36 3 series BMW 325i & 328i exhausts, and my goal is to reproduce a similar exhaust note on my C280. I dont want an obtrusive or over-racey sounding exhaust, just somthing that sounds a little more sporty and grunty than the stock set-up.

What are your reccomendations?

I agree the 325i/328i exhaust is awesome.

Now i'm stuck with the only supercharged car that sounds like a diesel.

Anyone with experience in kompressor exhaust tuning????

I'm afraid of making it worse.

Thanks for the links guys, now for my second and probabaly final question. I really like the Eisenmann exhaust but it is offered in a small and larger size exhasut tip, I'd definitely go with the 2x70mm (smaller) one, but Im wondering if my bumper valence may need to be modified. I guess my direct and simple question is how larger are the stock tail pipes, and will the 2x70mm fit w/o modification.

Does anybody know of any Eisenmann or other aftermarked exhaust system sound files on the internet? Id love to hear how they might sound on a C280 before I make a final decision, but Im leaning towards Eisenamnn anyways. Thanks!

i have custom magnaflow setup with free flowing aero Turbine resonators and I like it alot. The only thing is i have 18" magnaflow 5x8 muffler and it is very quiet and refined but there is still resonance at about 2000rpm but theres also a ton of torque at the same rpm so i dont mine it b/c it makes pushing this 4500lb frame much much easier in daily driving. on the top end its not insanely loud but deifnnitely louder than stock. Magnaflow has a very refined sound, u will like it alot.

Lets be real here and say magnaflow is a waste of money. A friend has one on a spec-v. They are rice burner exhausts kits.

Go with a supersprint or remus so you dont lose horsepower and torque.

a lot of it depends on the vehicle. I had a magnaflow on my 1.5L I4 paseo, and it sounded like bloody shit, but i've heard it on v8's and it sounds good.
