spontaneous sideskirt disassembly

I was walking back to my car with a shit ton of groceries today, and I looked at my driver's side (stock) skirt, and it was hanging down on the front after it curves under. i pulled into a private lot and looked under the car, and 4 of the 7 or 8 plastic clips had come undone, and it hadn't been present before today. any reason why this might happen?

i would hope not, but this is a college town. i've gotten egged while walking home. that was pleasant. I had egg in my ear for days.

mine was hanging down too,it was missing a screw at the front...

I recently replaced the rubber pieces at either end of the skirts...
when i popped the skirts off most of the clip were brittle and broke...
maybe some of yours were brittle too?

i got all new clips etc...damn there is alot of plastic parts holding those skirts on lol

yeah, it was fucking -2 degrees out with a wind chill, so it stung like a bitch too. some people really have pathetic lives.

as for the clips, i pushed them right back in, and they fit fine. they took some persuading, and i don't think they could've just popped out without some help.

Ouch!,even on a warm day it would definatly sting!!

wierd maybe some did want a replacement skirt?...
theres plenty of suspects with all the crashes lately lol.

Ya I dont think those corner lights get stolen...if it was aftermarket it fell off.

ive also had a oem signal light fall off :-(

oh really? thats the same side!, but i'm pretty sure mine was stolen, i was parked at work and didnt drive my car until i finished, and thats when i noticed it went missing..man..

well while where on the NZ indicater thread...mine fell out too....lol but it was due to the plastic clip braking...cant remember which side though;)

are these all aftermarket clear corners, or just certain types? the ebay models? i'm kinda thinking when i buy mine, i'll have to make brackets to keep them in place now!

i had my star yanked out once...pissed me off reall bad, the thing is i was drunk at the time...so i didnt notice untill next morning, the star was missing, and the 3 from 230 was also gone....(oh and the antenna i had..also gone)

I got the Bosch Euro clear ones form the dealer.. great fit, no problems.

as for your sideskirt.. Id say the clips just broke.. they are plastic.. and go very brittle.. when I removed my sideskirts to install my LED lights.. I broke most of them!.. so I just bought new ones.

edit: if you need a part number for them. I can look them up.. I bought some recently.
