202 Members!

For those of you who have done the drop...

How much did you pay for the labor?

Local Mercedes specialst is asking for 900 dollars for the labor!

I live in Clemson South Carolina...

Did you all pay something like this to do the drop?

If you know any place near by..please recommend!

Did it myself for free...the first time around was tricky, but once you get it, it's easy to do. I did my brother's 202 in about 2 hours.

Do a DIY thread on that. I bet a lot of people would love to know too.

As for the $900 labor... thats a big rip off! hope you didn't get to do it before you read these msgs.
I think any bodyshop who had the spring compression tools would be able to do it.

free maybe when speedybenz does the work on his own car. :p

ok, ok.
- 1st comlete speedybenz install was about $1300 (edit: that was with tip)
- 2nd visit to level, raise, re-align the car was about $250 -- that didn't work-out so well...
- 3rd visit to replace the front springs with 950lbs/in springs, and re-level, raise and re-align the car was - I think - a around $400 (or was that $300?).

...somewhat of an atypical job though (yes, that's an understatement; I'm sarcastic as a rule ... nor can I spell either). Any readers who doesn't know what I mean, click the speedybenz link in the sig. ;)
