Hey guys, Just got my 98 c230 :)
The factory wheels are losing thier finish and the tires are going bad. I just don't see the point in thowing new rubber on ruined wheels. So here is what I have picked out. Will they fit? The company says they will but I question that. Also, not my first choice in wheels but I am getting them at cost because of the shop I work for. Let me know what you think! Thx in advance.
P.S. I get to change my o2 sensors in the morning, joy.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Like I said I am getting the wheels at cost, I don't make much. If I did I would be getting these :)

thats cheap!,...I'd be careful with the +45,the wheels may look lost in the gaurds

You mean too far inside the wheel well?

45mm won't work the wheels and or tires will rub on the suspension without the use of spacers. You can get away with 40mm if you run 225 tires....it "barely" clears.

yip, they may sit too far inside the gaurds...and as mentioned above could rub...
though in saying that i run 19x8.5 et35 with a 235 tyre up front and have about 5mm between tire and the top suspension nuckle.
if you plot that on a piece of paper vs the proposed setup,it turns out you should have 2-3mm more room than i have, and im on 19's!!!...so maybe it will fit with the right tires, though theres still the issue of looking alittle deep in the gaurds...

are there any other offsets avaliable?

throw some 10mm spacers on, that will make the offset 35mm

18x7.5 is pretty damn skinny though

10mm spacers is a possiblity, but would i experience any unstablity etc? Would I need longer lug bolts? Though I am getting the wheels at a very low price if anything is questionable ill just wait and save more, though I was hoping to have them soon, big car show g2g type thing in myrtle beach. Eh, keep it going guys, I appreciate your help.

get H&R ones make sure they are hub centric and they have a little lip on them for the wheel to sit on. This shouldent vibrate, its the 5mm ones you gotta worry about.

you would need longer bolts, this isnt a problem, cheap too

So do you think I should go ahead and get the rims then?

Edit: I wish they were wider, much wider lol.

7.5" wide is good for only FWD cars lol. YOu should look at minimum 8" wide. Unless you run 7.5" in front and something wider in back, then it is okay. But 7.5" in back will look all skinny.

no you dont need spaces for the AMG wheels, he is talking about the fake racing harts

Tires can be quite expensive for wide wheels.
