removing the engine cover

guys,
i got a v6 c280. i want to remove the cover for a good cleaning underneath as well as eventually change the plugs and wires, but i don't know how to go about this.
any ideas/suggestions? thanks in advance.

are you talking about the black cover on top of the engine that has the mercedes symbol on it?? If so, you just pull it off, its real easy. there are 2 finger indentions on the right side and pull up and it will just pop off and it pops right back on the same way.
