How do I remover the lower half of the stock airbox?

Pull straight up i think...as its only held in buy rubber mounts

Its held in by adhesive?

Nope,just pull it stright up,as it has little plastic pegs which push into three seperate rubber gromets in the wheel arch...
its alittle hard to pull sometimes but it should give in!

also have you removed the intake form the grill area?

Yeah to be able to pull it up remember to take out the black plastic connector that go from behind the grille down to the air box. Pull that inside the engine compartment a little and free it from the grille area and you're good to go, I just did this for the first time like 10 minutes ago.

K&N filters form the package are good to go.. they are oiled perfectly.. its just when you clean them and re oil them that you have to be careful not to over oil them.
