What!! It's illegal in Germany? Which part is illegal? clear headlight? projector? or just simply using aftermarket headlight?

Dude you have the AUTOBAHN! here in the US, police are everywhere going after people going above 100km/h.

Hello,
the clear headlight are legal, but
the projector headlights have no
"E" check character, and without
that number we have a problem
with the cops!!

Strictly speaking, I'm not sure that those lights are legal in the US either... We have a similar standard, if all of the parts of the headlamp not DOT approved, then they are not legal.

However, the law in the US on what's legal and not is so complicated that often times individuals can live in the grey area without much trouble.

Wow, those look pretty cool. Definitely changes the overall mood of the w202 :)

Not sure if this has been discussed already, but what are the normal lights? The inner or outer beams?

the inner beems are the fog lights the outer beem is the head lights low/high beem.

usually only if your HID lights are immensly blinding or an obvious color change like and 8000k or 10000k HID bulb

The ones that I have are 8,800ks. very powerful, they have a blue tint to them. And I have never been pulled over for my lights. I have only got pulled over because of my tints.

I will try to take some PICS as soon as possible. and the cut off is not bad it looks pretty good! I like them a lot and it gives a huge differences to the look of the car!

8800K will actually put out very LITTLE useable light.

Optimum is 4300K

can you leave the inner fogs on the projector and drive with it like that night?

omeyhomey

6000K is the best of both worlds, color and light output. output on 6000k is VERY nice though u can tell 4300K is alittle brighter though less blue. 6000K color is perfect than that, anything more just looks like a blue bulb, way too blue and not enough light output.

Actually 4300K is really the best of both worlds. I had 4300K in my low beams and 6000K in my fogs in my m3.

All I'm going to say is I have experience in that business and I MAY know what I'm talking about :) :) :)
