i believe its a bose i was playing my music a little louder than i was suppose to be i guess now when the bass hits it rattles and when people talk on it its makes that static noise so it has to be gone i just want to replace it and go on with life im going to call mercedes today and see i just wanted to kno if any of you al knew before hand

in all honestly, instead of getting another OEM Bose Speaker from the dealership (only place i could imagine getting one of the same serial number), I'd just take out both back speakers and replace'm with higher quality ones. The Bose speakers put into Mercedes aren't what you'd wanna call "high quality" ones.....just a suggestion though.:D

You cant put aftermarket speakers into a Bose car. The ohms are different so best to replace with OEM.

Its in the back anyways....no point in replacing something better than BOSE which is decent, for the back doors.

But this is not my car so why am I arguing :D

BOSE systems have a lot of clarity in them so why not keep them and add a sub in your car, i would understand if your car was non BOSE then you would upgrade to an aftermarket company like pioneer, kenwood, clarion etc, but if its BOSE and you dont want a lot of stomach turning bass in ur ride, then just add a sub and ur set to go..just my $.002
