I just installed a new "system" in my car if you wanna call it that, here are pics.

Sony XPLOD CDXGT200

Infinity Reference 180W speakers, undeicded on which to keep as of yet.

Also its unamped as of yet, and I still need rear speakers

looks clean! How is the sound compared to the stock system? did you upgrade the wiring?

Looks good but you shouldnt have punctured the grill for that tweeter.

Yeah, that looks pretty ghetto. You should have something fabricated to get rid of the tape holders too. You're going to hate having to explain what those are.

Why would he need to fabricate anything, just order the coin tray that goes there in the later models.

Is it a straight swap with the plastic tray?

If not, the it'll be tough to find a matching ash tray.

I just ordered one (used my stock one as a frame for my A/C and now I have to send my monitor back to Xenarc for repair so I need it to cover the hole, plus when I sell the car...) for $24.

Its like copper turned to gold, it sounds a million times better than the stock system. I recommend the upgrade if you have a few hundred dollars. If youre crafty you can do the head unit and the speakers yourself, for the speakers I had to use a dremel and a drill and modify the original MB speaker mounts, ones that came with Infinity were a no fit.
