i have a 95 c280. can i use 99 280 sport cluster the white gauges w/out conversion? how can i remove the cluster?

i think 94 and 95 are the only compatible clusters. i believe in 1996 they changed a few things with the cluster. like service interval reset buttons, wiring, etc... maybe someone else could enlighten this topic!!!!!

you need the tools from mercedes. they are two hooks which slide on the sides of the cluster...then pull back and swap out. cheap tools - (not that expensive) and very easy to swap if you have the right cluster.

thanks! i tried it and its not compatible, the wires are different.
:( so sad, now i have to sell the cluster! thanks a lot!:(

no problem, anytime. i just hope you didn't spend a fortune buying that 99' cluster just to find out it didn't work. next time just ask first, LOL, you'll get a response from some1.

cant you just take off the white sticker part and swap it with the black ones that come on 95' model ?

hard to explain but sounds possible.... if you know how to rip everything apart. (and put it back together)

The posistion of the odometer is different on the facelift & pre-facelift models, so that isnt possible.
