check out my current bulb upgrade.
I had been running a 1157 LED white bulb with 6 ohm resistor on my 2 front signal.
The old bulb switch on white and blinks the white brigther. I replaced a new pair of LED bulb that switch on....

and blinks

and yes the light out signal on the dash is still there.

The bad thing about these new bulbs...
the HID became a little purplish while the LED bulbs still stay bluish. The picture was taken 10 seconds immediately after I switched on the light, and after that...

I am currently running 6000K McCulloch D2R HID with original ballast. A little purplish for the setup. I had my girl's infiniti fx35 HID bulb changed with the same 6000K bulb and it was bluish white. Why is it only mercedes ballast have these effect! Anybody tried running 8000K bulbs on the original ballast? Does it turn bluish?

If all fails... I am going to save up and get the new projector headlight that's been going around and pair it with a new aftermarket HID set.

I run 10000K and they look white they don't turn purple like that but it may also depend on who makes your ballast

Yes it's the corner light I am talking about.

MYMBZZL, do you run yours on original ballast? Mine's running on the original ones.

"The cluster light still on. Somebody know how to remove this stuff? I am very positive the dealership are able to get rid of these problems, but again you dont buy stuff from them it aint their problem."
Take this back! the cluster is not switched on anymore... miracle!

I think I am going to replace my HID bulb with a higher lumens bulb. Can somebody post a night shot of your HID headlight running 8000K AND/OR 10000K bulbs on OEM BALLAST. Thanks in advance.

i have 8000k bulbs on my C43. I have stock Bosch HID system and i put in aftermarket 8000k bulbs, the looks dident change much. My freind has 8000k in his toyota and its way blue, mine is more white or purpleish white if anything

EASY SOLUTION...remove the instrument cluster and take out the bulb. that's what i did to mine when i replaced all my exterior bulbs with aftermarket bulbs. that way i don't have to drive around with the bulb failure light "on".

:( you should 've posted last week. I had bought the 8000K bulb already and install them. Comparably with the 6000k, it has less purplish hint though.
Many mercedes owner at mbworld had spoken about changing their ballast into lexus's ballast. Anybody with the experience?

i bought some 12000k bulbs, trying to go for the exact look you have with the white/purplish light.. shit.. all i got was this damn pinkish purple light. I returned them for some 6000k's. hopefully it will give me the same look as your lights. I put 8000k's in my girls car and the lights were too blue for me. like a ricer blue!

it's all about the ballast! At least that what I believe. Didnt bother trying aftermarket stuff until I am sure it wont give faulty bulb signals.
