94 c 280 shifter knob

how do i replace the shifter knob on my 94 c 280? i looked through the forum and found the steps for removal for the 95's and up and they dont work on my car... so what do i do?

you have to remove the shifter shaft because the knob is molded to it. to do that, remove the shifter surround, then pop up the wooden frame. unplug everything to get it out of the way. then unclip and remove the top cover of the shift assembly. then you will see a C clip securing the shaft to another one, remove the clip, remove the pin, and there you go.
