if i remember correctly, there's an orange wrench that comes up when a repair is needed. it's down at the bottom of the intrument cluster within the odometer display. i'm pretty new to this car too though, so i'm not sure if that's accurate.

i think the wrench u see should be the flex service light. it reminds u how much u have gone without service and stuff, which u can reset urself.
i haven't seen my CEL coming on for quite some time now. if memory serves, it's on the lower right corner. it saids something like "check engine" on it.

Turn the key in the ignition switch all the way but don't actually turn on your car. All the lights in your instrument cluster should come on as a check so that you know if any bulbs are burnt out. They will remain on for like 20 or 30 seconds, that's when you can see the check engine light and I think it's in the same location for all 202's, which is the left side of the cluster, I think right next to the parking brake light.

Do you have the owner's manual for you car? There should be a detailed pic of your cluster in the manual with a legend as to what is what.
