climate control loosing digits!

hi again,i guess some of you fellow c-class owners have bad experience from your climate control loosing digits? is there any cheap remedy to fix this crapy behaviour on the climate unit? who want's to buy new stuff for big bucks. cheers

i temped to open mine up and see if i can tape down the ribbon cable in there (im assuming thats whats loose) but i dont know if thats even whats in there.. i dont think anyone has done this yet

got the exact same problem. everytime when i want to read the damn thing i have to push it in hard for it to adjust... what a pain.

it happens to me on occasion, i just tap it 2 or 3 times...it is a bit annoying

hi i have to tap it on the display also to make it work properly.this only happens randomly when the climate losses it's digits.

This was bad news for me as it cooincided with head unit going bad. first one was under warranty. Other one cost $900. Keep an eye on it. Would be interested if anyone has opened one of these up for ribbon cable or something control that readout.

call em. They told me they could get a rebuilt one when I bought my new one.
