good day to you all, i wen't to the stealership about my C43 AMG 99,the problem was about the software in the ecu that was acting weird i guess? when they ran it through (star diagnosis) it said faulty (02 SENSOR) this is connected before front cat, they said that the cats could get fucked up if they don't change this sensor, so my question is, do they often go bad? how many 02 sensors are they on the c43? do they need to be changed alltogether when they go bad or separetly is enough?

cost including labour and sensor is around 400$$$$$ the car runs great i didn't even know it was faulty.

i remember having to change that at one point soon after I bought my car, I don't remember how much it cost me.

Try buying the part online, you can find them a lot cheaper than what the dealership charges.

yup, look for shops that specializes in european cars, or better yet, mercedes only shop. when i had my car in DC for the summer, a mercedes only indie shop took care of me. great people there.

You can buy the sensors at this place (http://www.club202.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7035)

There are four sensors on the C43. When I was having O2 problems, I went ahead and replaced all four. They were pretty old, and I figured they were most likely on their way out.

hey man so what you are saying is that i'm just going to wait for the rest of the freeking 02 sensors to breakdown. they were expensive cost me 3000 swedish kroner/each to change, that means labour and part. in US dollares=around 350 $$$$$ bucks/each

i say just swap out the faulty ones now. if others fail later, deal with it later.
i guess in your case your best bet is to look online for cheap o2 sensors that can be shipped to you. and then look for local shops to change it for u. it will be cheaper than the dealer's.
