my friend at work actually has b&g spings on his silver 2000 c280 sport with 19 inch axis wheels. very nice and smooth ride. looks amazing he's running 8.5 wide in the front and 9.5 in the rear so the fenders had to be rolled. i have intrax springs on my 1995 c280 with the same AMG rims you have. if i recall right intrax spings are 1.8 inch drop. so you'll be fine with those spings (b&g) and wheels. it shouldn't rub at all. it's a good idea to get yourself some sport shocks with the springs. do a search on here but most ppl go with bilstein sport or koni's it seems like. take pics and post when your done!!!!

thanks guys, but reading more posts on this forum some people do have issues with rubbing so if i do rub how much would i be looking to pay to roll the fenders, and can someone explain the lowering pads that people talk about thanks chris

ur car will not lower 1.6 inch. it will lower 1.2-1.6 inches depending on options you have in ur car. Pads are added per mroe options are added to the car, base car w/o options will have #1 pads less quipment less weight on spring.
pads go from 1-#5 front
1-4 rear. you can double stack rear if you like, it has been done by other people here.
rubbing comes from aftermarket wheels which have slight less offset bring out the wheels
