Anybody know what could cause this? I pulled my codes from the A/C unit and it threw me a code 26 for the Coolant Temp Sensor. It states
Coolant Temperature Sensor (climate control) B10/8 open-circuit or short-circuit (intermittent).

I just replaced the sensor to try to eliminate that as the problem, but to no avail. Currently my A/C works intermittently, but most of the time, it doesn't work.

Anybody have experience with this?

did you replace the ecu coolant sensor or the a/c coolant sensor? the second one is located on the side of the water pump as opposed to the top one(ecu coolant temp). the a/c one cuts out the compressor when the coolant temp goes over a set temp.

Both of them were replaced today. (but not the single prong sensor) I also have a new evaporator temp sensor to put in, but didn't get around it today (started raining :( )

Mine is also having problems like this also. It works sometimes and blows extremly cold, but the majority of the time it just blows semi cold air. Can anybody post pics of where these sensors are? Should I get some new sensors from the dealer or where should I look? Also are these a simple unplug and plug the new one in and should hopefully work?

Can someone post pics or give detailed information as to how we can check all these sensors that could be causing our ac to not be blowing cold all the time.

It's kinda a pain to get to. For my car anyway, you pull off the driver's knee bolster under the dash, and it is way up in the hvac housing.

I did the a/c diagnostic and got a code for the a/c coolant sensor and also some 41 deg. 6 code. After I deleted them the coolant sensor hasn't popped back on but the 41 deg. 6 has. I went to the dealer and told them what I needed they gave me what they said is the a/c coolant sensor. On the packaging it says "sender unit" part number A 005 153 63 28. The problem I am having is switching it out. I removed the engine cover and am staring at the water pump the only side sensor I see is a 90 degree one and the one the dealer game me is straight. Is this the way it should be and also if I try to unscrew the one in there now is coolant fluid going to spill out onto my fan belt. Somebody please help me out and switching this out so I can hopefully fix my a/c so it will constantly work.

Here is a pic of the part I got from the dealer

Here is where I figure the actual sensor is located on the side of the water pump.
