As the question ask and is there anyway to change 2-ohms to 4-ohms resistance in my 1998 C280? Becuase Im now interested in the Infinity Kappas which support 2-ohms but I rather try something of 4-ohms. DO Ihave to chnage anything in the CD changer or head unit?

A 2ohm speaker requires less power and plays twice as loud as a 4ohm speaker which is usually the standard ohm rating.
All I did with my sound system was add a 12 inch Clarion in a small sealed box. Get a sealed box enclosure if you want nice, tight bass. The difference between the ported and sealed enclosure is the ported is the one with holes and air coming out from the woofer!
You will also need an amp for this sub! I had a shop wire it up and I beleive they tapped the rear deck speakers for sound signal...then I needed a HI-LOW converter which splits the wiring into RCA cables or something.
Sounds like alot but its not bad really.
Once all hooked up, and if you're running the stock head unit radio, setting the bass level on it to HALF and the treble max, the amp/sub level to half or to the bass desired, you have one kick ass decent system!
Sure there is better...but this is the decent way out.

well a 2 ohm speakers won't play twice as loud as a 4 ohm will.
it all depends on the type of ampliflication you're working with. ;)

Aftermarket deck will work with the BOSE sound system, but I beleive you need an adaptor.
Im happy with the CLARION woofer in mine.

I was gonna say, you don't need to adjust anything to add a sub to the existing Bose sound system. You simply let the stock amp control the amplification to the 2 ohm Bose sound system, a new head unit is more convenient when adding a sub and all it does is push a signal to the stock amp, then you have the aftermarket amp and sub RCA to the aftermarket head unit, and PRESTO everything is all good.

Well with the sub doing the bass work, no point in max-ing out the BOSE to its own bass limits even though its controlling distortion. +3 bars bass level on stock unit gives a decent midrange.
