If there is a leak in your AC system, I would do it by myself.
Otherwise, I would go to a place where they refill it for like $75.
I bought a manifold at an auto store for like $40 and paid $25 for 2 cans of refrigerant. That's already $65. I know I'm set for future refills since I know my system has a slow leak.
I would recommend to buy a manifold that has three lines

Something like this.

i was reading your old thread about you A/C problems and was comparing my car.
My evap temp sensor read at 77 degress so that is too high?
my refigerant pressure was at 6 bar this is okay?
you knoww what else is weird, my AC hasent worked for 2 years now and before the EC button was on, (this means the computer is not letting the system run to save the compressor) but now when i turn on A/C the EC button isnt on anymore. why would it just randomly start working.
So should i just get my A/C refilled and see what happens, i would rather learn how to do it my self but fear messing it up or getting freon in my eye!

YES, your evap temp is high(the compressor not working)
Once I had the AC manifold, it was very easy to see what really went wrong. I also realized that the pressure reading from the car itself is not accurate. (Mine read 12.8bar (impossible) when the compressor kicked in, but the actually reading from the manifold was about 40-50psi.(3bar))
If you have an access to the manifold, I would strongly recommend doing it. It was very easy to do.
There's almost no way that the freon could get into your eye unleass you puncture the pipe.
*When you are taking the pressure reading, AC must be turned on. The pressure changes once the compressor kicks in.

But if the EC button on your Climate control is not lit up, then it means the compressor is working?

You could actually hear the compressor running if you want to check. Open the hood and listen for the spinning or ticking sound other that the engine.
You could also look inside the hexagonal glass window behind the left headlight. You should see the freon gushing and bubbling(fast) then the compressor is on.
If the compressor is on, low pressure side pipes should be cold.
Check these three things.
Also, try this diag.

i dont see this Hex window you refer too, i dont think my 1998 C43 has this, do you think they changed the part? Is the part you refering to the Dryer?
Is the compressor on the passenger side? I need to see a pic of it . does it got tubes from the dual valve going to it?

my kompressor burned out twice on me, untill the mechanics realised that the reason it was burning was because the tubings and the radiator were filthy....

When the compressor is on, it should be around 40-60degF.
Mine was 80-90 before compressor kicked in.

This is the picture I have for your model.
I don't know where exactly it is, but take a look at the picture of fluid reservoir at the bottom left.

take it to any mechanic they should be able to refill ur 'fridgirant' for (the R134 stuff) for around $50-80 depending how much you need
as long as you have a 95 or newer with the newer stuff....its cheap BUT if you have that old stuff (95 or b4) then its like $200
caz that older stuff is $$$$
