I have a 97 c280 with the stock bose premium sound system. While listening to a song that has a lot of crash cymbals, all of a sudden, you can hardly hear the highs.
I increased the treble and decreased the bass all the way and it still sounds muffled. Any ideas?

Probably something in the BOSE amp?

I know it has protection circuitry for the speakers so maybe this is turning on when it shouldnt.

a bad amp will cause wierd things in the bass/treble and the balance/fader options. alot of people have had this problem.

i got a bose amp sitting in my room. perfect condition if u want to buy it!

I'm sort of new at this, but where can find the bose amp?

It's in the back of trunk behind the liner on the driver's side.

Thanks.

By the way, do you know anything about the rear view mirror? I've got the keyless entry and i guess the module is connected underneath the rear view mirror. my friend accidently knocked the mirror out of position and know its loose.
I called the dealership and they said I have to buy a new mirror and module and reprogram everything again which means $$$$.
Any advice?

it might have broke the clip in which case...yes you will need a new mirror assembly. but most likely it just knocked the mirror off the clip and it should snap back on. if you cant figure it out just go to any indy shop and they'll snap it back on for you! take a few seconds assuming nothing is broken.
