I keep reading though everyone's threads, which are extremely helpful by the way, and I see people mencioning pads in conjunction with springs. What are pads and what do they do for adjusting springs?

It's basically a shim that fits between the top of the spring and the upper spring seat. They vary in thickness so compensate for different optional factory equipment. We use them to slightly adjust the ride height.

Check half-way down this thread for the part numbers.

Thanks, If I go with the H&R/Bilstien combo, would I need any pads?

You already have spring pads. If you wanted to raise it or lower it a little, you could pick up some thicker or thinner pads.

I've found that the pad thickness (#1 thin vs #4 thick") affect the ride quality. The #1's allow for a biut more viobration and harshness while the #4's really smooth things out.
