"These are OEM size replacement rotors that have been drilled and slotted by CNC specialists."

read that part in the article. they are probably a cheap brand like the ones you get at local parts stores for like $25 each, HAHA. then they just drilled, slotted and zinc plated them. they may have good feeback responses but without knowing the brand of the rotors, i wouldn't waste my time or money!

Brakes are a pretty integral part of the car's safety sytems. I wouldn't cheap out on it. They will probably work fine, because they are liable. Also note the $50 shipping. You can pick up soem Zimmerman cross-drilled rotors from www.importec.com for under $250.

Be careful with aftermarket drilled rotors (and cheap ones too!). A lot of times you may hear of fatigue cracks around where the drilled holes are. It comes from from uneven heat distribution which can cause uneven expansion (the area around the hole will cool faster than the area farther from the hole). It creates localized crack propagation because of all the repeated tension and compression (fatigue) from the heat distribution.

The racecars and high end kits are either have a metal that resists that fatiguing, or are cast with holes in them (instead of drilled afterwards) which prevents cracking.

Ok, off my engineering tangent... You should be fine with drilled rotors if you're mainly using them for street use. If you're tracking or autocrossing heavily, it might be a better idea to use slotted rotors.

It seems like drilled rotors are more of a thing for looks these days anyhow. Quality brake pads have very little emission of gasses (sublimation) which cause "brake fade."

I run ATE PowerDisc slotted rotors and haven't had any problems with them. I wouldn't consider them a performance upgrade, but I noticed that they do work better than normal rotors when wet.

yea ive heard the same - drilled rotors run cooler and all but when they get hot enough they crack easy.

for real Brembos, check Tirerack.com they got em at good prices, of course I can still get them even cheaper but thats ordering thorugh my dads shop LoL

same with MAF ... Im getting mine for like $215 when everybody pays like $300 for em. LoL

Do you really want to buy brakes from someone who confuses a BMW with a MB?
