since we are talking about transmissions and all ... does C43 and C230's post-updated share same gearbox or im guessing not ?

this may sound kinda dumb but im not sure on where to look my only source would be the internet. and also if i do get a 5 speed manual which i want to do how much would i look at paying for one?

also how much are the auto tranny worth because if i did get one i would sell the auto out of my car.

Good luck finding the transmission man...
...it maybe a good idea to find out the price of the flywheel,clutch and pressure plate,new flywheel bolts,new thrust bearing,new pilot bearing,the three shifter arms,a leather boot(relatively expensive),complete complex shifter unit,and possibly the shifter surround!,also the master cylinder,slave cylinder plus piping, and you should be able to use the brake reserve tank to feed them as thats how mine works.

it maybe best to find a wrecked one for the best deal on all at once....buying that stuff new will cost you thousands even without the transmission!

Since your source is the internet, try contacting salvage yards from UK (to be able to speak english) or mercedes parts shops. in your google searches just add uk in the end. Make sure you ask them how much it is to ship it though.
