Didn't know if I should've posted this question in this forum or the classifieds forum, since I haven't posted here enough to sell in the forums

I just replaced the shift knob out of my 2000 c280 Sport (57k miles) with a carbon fiber/leather Schatz knob and no longer need the original.

The black leather and emblem on the original knob are in perfect shape, but there are a couple of small marks (hardly noticable when on car) on the bottom black plastic piece that you have to turn in order to get it off.

My question is whether or not I should bother putting it up for sale on ebay, or just hang onto it to place back on the car in case I "trade it in" someday.

There is always interest on eBay, ship worldwide and you will find a buyer.

You're right about that, but I've sold quite a few items on eBay before and the only bad experience I've had was with an international purchase, so I'd rather not go there.. Thanks for the reply!

I would be able to, but I still am under the "30 post minimum" to post to the classifieds here.

I suppose I could post a pic, and even just put it up for bid on eBay. The "eBay Stores" are selling used ones for $60-$70 (search for "Mercedes Sport Shift Knob" then scroll to the bottom of the page to see eBay store listings). I'd probably let mine go for around $20-$25 "Buy it Now" plus S&H on eBay.

I'm still trying to gauge interest, so let me know if you or others are or are not.

Edit: Again, I'm still only willing to sell within the U.S. only in order to avoid lameness with customs/fraud/etc.

The knob itself (you can seen one of the scratches in the upper right portion of the connector):

One side of the plastic connector with a scratch (I couldn''t get the other side to turn out, but it is similar in that it is hard to photograph):
