Custom one-of-a-kind AMG M104 engine cover

Hey guys,

I finally had a chance to finish off my AMG Engine cover for my M104 engine. It took multiple tries at it but it finally came out fantastic. I chose a carbon graphite color b/c i felt it was pretty sporty and cool looking. I topped it off with multiple clear coats and polished it to a nice shine. It took a while and alot of $$ but i think it came out fantastic, anyways without further ado...Enjoy! :cool:

UPDATE: Pics of engine cover installed!

Heres the engine cover installed and as you can see it looks great. I went to such extremes that I even painted and clear coated the bolts that fasten the engine cover to the head (i'm a perfectionist, what can I say :D , look at picture below ). You will notice that the star on the front spark plug wire cover is missing, thats b/c I will be replacing it with the mercedes benz 49mm star emblem. The 49mm unit should be a perfect fit. anyways I hope u guys like it :)

P.S. I doubt i will make any more but IF there is enough demand i may considering doing a few extras if you guys really really want.

it can go wherever u want it to go, this is a custom engine cover so i chose to put it there b/c it was a perfect fit in my opinion.

Very nicely finished quality part. You may need to move the AMG logo towards the front of the engine so that it is not obscured by the intake trunking that runs over the rear half of the head.

well on the newer M104's theres a totally different engine cover, its not even closely similar so for those i would obviously move AMG logo up closer.

I'm actually working on a ML55 intake right now, i'll show pictures once its done.

yes I was thinking about it. I may setup a shop at home this summer get a full bench top blaster & paint boot and start pumping this things out but as of now its just a personal project w/ no ambitions just doing them one at a time. I'm gonna start putting some up on ebay in a few months but no plans to start as of now.

i know, im working on the engine but unfortunately there is a seirous problem plagueing the engine and i still cannot figure it out. I have a feeling it may be faulty wiring harness or something. I'll have to figure it out. the engine has huge potential but 2 years ago one day the engine electrics just crapped out and the car has never been teh same since, its gotten better but still never as good as it was
