My dealer wants $95 for the plastic carbon-fiber 'look" door trim;that's per door. PN# is 202-690-41-87.
Anybody know where I can get it for less?

I would suggest getting the carbon fiber overlay. Looks 100% better and cost is about $50 for all the doors. Try "carbon fiber mercedes w202" on ebay.

I agree, since the real one isnt real carbon fiber anyway...

Someone makes a cf overlay for 202? I've never seen anything 202 specific for the wood pieces on ebay or anywhere else. If it's out there, and it's REAL cf then i'm definately interested. I've been researching how to make my own cf overlays for a little while now and am considering trying it more and more every day.

The overlay is for the outer door b pillars.

One example, mine does not have the little circle emblem though:

@ denlasoul:

can you take pics of yours (especially near the top), the fitment looks a little shotty like it wasn't rolled to fit the body line, and its just a stick-on solution.

curious, because i do like the look but the fitment.. eesh

I can get them up this weekend. It is a stick on, but mine seems to fit relatively well. The little rubber lining on the pillar blends well with my particular overlays. The fitment issue towards the bottom is more of a concern. On a scale of 1-10, I'd say its around 7. Though it looks a thousand times better than the OEM fake carbon.

Oh, haha. I thought "door trim" was refering to the inside wood trim. My bad.

I like the idea :D , but I can't seem to find the product on ebay :dispoint: . I tried lots of different wording with "Mercedes" and Carbon-Fiber"

Still available?

Different seller???

Do you think these are the ones you have, Denlasoul? And, if so, you're happy with the fit and look? The last thing I want to do is a mod that looks like a mod; If you know what I mean.

So, they stick on the existing pillar trim? Do they add much thickness to the trim?

Yeah, different seller. I think my guy was "procarparts.com"

Fitment is good. If you are really really picky then I would just suggest not getting them. I am the same way, but when I slapped them on, it looked good. Some imperfections in the fitting, but in all not that bad. I get alot of compliments on them, even when it was at the Dealer.

Thickness wise, it adds about 2 millimeters. It sticks on the trim. One thing I can suggest (if you have the fake OEM stuff) is to use simple green to wipe away the pattern. Thus, you will have a black background if fitment is not that good.
