Has anyone done it?. My car is running at 315bhp and I got a quote of £450 for a chip that will give me about 30bhp extra, is it worth it?, will it cause problems?, or am I just better off leaving it alone.
Thanks in advance.

People tend to have mixed results when chipping N/A cars in the absense of any other modifications. I
'd be very surprised to see a gain as big as 30bhp. If the company your considering guarantees a level of gain or your money back, it would be worth a shot, otherwise, don't get your hopes up too high for big gains. It would be a good idea to get your car on a rolling road for before and after comparisons.
You're at a slight advantage as your gas is at least better than our California 91 PON, which should allow for more advanced timing, however, your car may already sufficently tuned for the petrol available to you.

My friend had his E46 M3 chipped by them, and he noticed the change straight away and also they de-limited it as well. Also the fuel I always use is 98/99 octane, I know it cost more but it's worth it. I will talk to him before I do anything, but first I'm going to change my alloys more than likely they will be Amg Monoblocks Style II in 18", but I have considered Brabus Monoblock 5.

My C43 has it done. It definately made a difference that you can feel.

If you don't mind me asking how is your car making 315hp?? Did you do a couple things to bring up the power. Also, did you dyno the car yet to confirm this?? Not second guessing you one bit...just a curious C43 owner in need of more power.
On a side note, my car is pretty much stock in terms of engine and I think I remember the specs to be 302HP/302TQ for stock...I had a baseline dyno done the other day and pulled 235HP and 243TQ as a best. These numbers have been confirmed "normal and good" for a stock C43 from multiple owners and techs. At 315HP I would guess your car would make roughly 240ish HP at the wheels.....
Personally, I wouldn't buy the chip. Get a supercharger, or maybe delete secondary cats and resonator. Replace the cats with high flow units. Not a huge gain with the exhaust but it will sound sweet:D

I believe that is the hp rating over in Europe.
306HP in Europe. I dynoed mine and had 310HP with no resonator and green filters! Sorry I can't prove it the sheet is in the trash can :(

Yes, mine is a euro model which standard runs at 306bhp, my brother's friend, bought one as well and installed the same K&N air filters mine's got and got his on a rolling road and he was told that his was running at 315BHP, so unless there are some problems with mine I would have thought it would be the same, sometime next month I'm taking it a rolling road to find out exactly.

I think these euro dudes are getting their HP numbers from one of those G-Force things u plug into your 12volt outlet.. and they also calculate your 0-60 times, which are usually way off....
