how much should breaks for a 202 be. dealership wants to charge me 240 for front and 300 for the back....break pads only.... does this sound right.....

sounds about right, perhaps a little less... they are charging 90 dollars an hour?

Buy the pads and change them yourself. You will pay under 150 for front and reat pads. Save money and take an hour to do front and back together! My 00 w202 SE was the easiest I have ever changed before of all the vehicles I have ever owned. Easy to do and inexpensive also.

IMO, if you dont know how to do much on your 202 - it would be much safer for yourself and others to just leave brake jobs to the pro's! ;)

Brake pads are a cakewalk! MB tends to be a little expensive on some things. ;) They wanted $600 to replace front rotors and pads on my dad's E420!

Go to tirerack.com and get some Akebono Eurotech pads. You will love them.

thanx guys...... i need roters too now for the front i went to an indy shop and they said they would do front rotors and pads and rear pads for 550.................. does that sound better..... i would not even know where to start if i was to do it by myself.......wish i did........
