has anyone replaced lights for the console controls with different colours?

is it possible or do the controls get their colour from the print and have a white light behind them?

if someone has can they post pics of the completed job.

ok my C230 the bulbs behind the cluster were all white, the prints made the light show up orange. I put red light bulbs in there and it changed to red (NO LEDs) because orange and red are somewhat look similar (unlike orange and blue wouldnt look good)

you can give it a try. ive replaced all my interior lighting to red - the ceiling lights, underdash red glow kit, and since ive put a hi-mount stop light in the back, I didnt have any use for my stock 3rd brake light (also red DUH) so I mountd that into my trunk - so even my trunk has a bright red light!

soon replacing my climte control unit to red (simple change) and getting red puddle lights. illuminated door sils (making those red) and ill see if I can change all the power buttons red.

its looks sick when its hella dark outside, hit the open button on my infarred key and the interior lights up RED! alot of attention there!

no ... because im nowhere near completing my projects with the car.

I got lets see ...
1.projector OEM headlights (75% finished)
2.Body parts(got my demensions,parts located,waiting on money)
3. gotta buy rims (alreddy found a set)
4. waiting to get my Pure Purple headlight bulbs (in the mail)
5. interior neons (gotta pull out my cluster&clim. control agian)
5. paint the exterior in some places (not gonna say anything)
6. custom hood project (havnt started, waiting on price quote)
7. a little under the hood mystery (its a secret, A big one)

until all of that is 100% done im not posting any pictures! Sorry!
