110 is only for the oil ??? that does seem kinda high to me...but then again most of the prices in the states are suprising me...
$110 for a synthetic oil change, is this the norm at the dealerships? Seems like a lot to me. They are also resealing the rear differential, replacing the flex disc, replacing ball joints, and one other thing typically replaced when ball joints are replaced. Total bill for all that, the oil change, and an alignment: well over $2,000....now I know why everyone calls them the stealership. They did give me a brand new 2006 c230 to drive around in for the week.....oh well

Jiffy lube does it for $95 on my c43 but then again it takes a lot of Mobile 1 to fill her up. Im thinking about buying a lift for $1200 just to save on the oil changes
I was quoted $3k by the dealership to do all the bits up front, ball joints, tie rods, idler arms etc... WTF???
my dealership wanted 120ish for the oil change alone.
that was cheap considering the MB/Euro shops in my area wanted anywhere between 130-154 for the oil change.
did it myself for about $60, filter and 8.5q of synthetic oil
i heard jiffylube sometimes doesnt do work in your car even though they say you do and you pay for it...i dont know i just remember reading it somewhereOriginally posted by sig425

744 CULT!
the price sound high. i've been to my local dealership for oil change before. and it charged me 95 for the whole thing.
i guess resealing the rear diff is a big hassle. local dealership wants about 1600 for the job of replacing one of the flange seals and the seal behind the yoke(what's the name for that one? idon't remember). i got the seals, but still haven't done it yet.
Just do it yourself and save some money. To make the job easier get an oil exactor they sell it on Ebay.
Would be pretty tough for them to do that since you can watch them do the work. Mobile one comes in bottles so you can watch them pour it in. Last time I brought my own filter and oil and dropped the price from $95 to $39.99 plus the filter and oil.Originally posted by Superpnoy

My lady says Wal-Mart has been changing the oil she just has to go to thr local Auto-Zone and buy a $14.00 OIL FILTER.$2000 seems to be the norm for stealership charges.I need 2 grand for keys ,switch,Eis ,and programming.
They ended up getting the warranty company to cover the ball joints and control arm bushings which in turn covers an alignment. So in all, only have to pay for the oil change and the deductible. Guys.............I spent the weekend in a brand new 2007 Lexus IS250, the new c class better get here soon cause the competition is getting pretty amazing. The loaner 06' c230 looked extremely cheap next to the lexus interior. Still love my 00' c230 sport though!
heh ya, thats why I went c43 over c32. C32's looks great from the outside but the inside looks crappy. Plus they dont get as good of reviews for reliability not to mention the $30k diff in price
amen, that 30k diff. is like another 202
