    W202 Control arm bushings

    Hi all:

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if all W202 control arm bushings are the same, including the AMG's? Also, what exactly comes in a control arm bushing kit? Lastly, is the L/R bushing interchangeable? I am looking into having some polyurethane bushings made, so this info will be quite helpful.

I believed the upper and lower control arm comes in as a whole assy. Bushing included. They're all the same but not interchangeable.

From what I found there is not special designation for amg. and this is for the lower control arm repair kit. I couldnt find one for the upper.

Price for this is around 100 - 125 bucks depending on which dealer you go through.

Have you had them replaced before? What was the cost? What if they are a little bit ripped?

Rear Lower Bushing is 02023300020. I was charged $96.64 for it as part of a 4 way alignment. About 1/4 of the front and rear suspension was replaced at this time so it is hard to say what it cost to get the bush done. I've done this kind of stuff myself for 25+ years , even do my alignments. Its fun! Ha that's why I am an engineer. This car takes tools I don't have and the frame had to be pulled on the front (Thanks to previous owner) with tools that are way out of my $. It would have taken me a long time to find the bent LF knuckle but It was obvious after looking closely that the LR had been bent to make the car drive straight. I wanted it done properly so I payed big big $$$.

I still have a hard time that there is no stock caster or camber adj. I can tweek my 116 perfect by looking at the camber and doing the caster by going straight on perfectly flat pavement. In the matter of a couple of hours max.

in my dealer price list I have for the number nokia posted:

    Code:
    Prices effective May, 2003
Prices do not include decimal point, 19100 = $191.00

    		      	      Suggested Dealer
Part Number Description List	Wholesale Cost

    1703300075 BUSHING KIT 7000 5500 4000
Means list price is 70$ and wholesale 55$ cost 40$ so you can probably deal it under 70$ if you tell him you knwo how much he pays them
