    porting trunk?

    im considering cutting a hole behind the rear seats where ther arm rest is for a port into the cabin for my subs...any thoughts about that?

    plus, the w202's dont have the gas tank behind the rear seats do they?...and if not its under the car i assume

    why dont you just take the rear deck speakers out, for ports? and no, im pretty sure their gas tanks are under the trunk/

    rears are already out....and with 2 JL 12's i need to move more air than just the rear deck holes...i dont care about cutting i just want to be 100% sure there is NO gas tank behind the seats

    there isn't. remove the rear seats (top and bottom for clear access), and the plastic shield in the trunk. the gas tank is between the spare tire well and the rear seat support between the fram, so as long as you cut behind the arm rest, or any surface the rear upper half of the seat touches, you'll be safe.

    im using the rear deck speaker holes for ports, and the bass is ridiculous in the cabin

    The rear-end structure behind the rear seats is either designed for a thru-load feature with fold-forward rear seats, or for a ski-bag option which allows snow skis to be loaded thru the central armrest area into the rear cabin.

    The fuel tank location is below this area and is not a problem for the idea of porting through the armrest area.

    so as long as i cut out the portion the size of the opening for the arm rest then i have nothing to worry about correct? because the tank is under the car somewhere from what i gather..
