Question What rims should I get?

I am still deciding on what rims to buy for my car. My car is black and its freakin stock. I want to go with the monoblk 18"s but then again I want something different. Black rims are sweet but too hard to find any amg's in blk. Then there are those blk or hyperblk "rice rocket" type rims at my local shop. Anyone care to make a suggestion?

*Keep in mind that I dont have much money to spend on rims, therefore if I decide to go with the AMG look, I will get replicas in 18"s.

You can get replica LM-5 rims from wheelexchange.com Then just get some lorinser center caps.

I have Carlsson 1/5 diamond finish right now and i like those alot.

BUt i think if i was to get a new set i would go with the Lorinser LM-5 or AMG MonoblockIIs or the replicas in your case

The signum series (above) are cool but someone told me that the wheels looked bad on a c-class. Maybe if I powercoated them blk it would look better. I am still considering the monoblk II's in 18 but they are just so boring. I have one question. What kind of wheels does nokia have? His rims look cool.

THATS COOL, BUT WHY ARE YOU YELLING???

I would suggest the LM-5s also.

But Monoblocks are the classiest and are very very OG.

Nokia has Carlssons i am not sure which model but they are the very light weight ones. lot of $$$$$$$$$$$

Make sure the wheel is hub-centric. If you want to be really original and cheap do what DLS said. I would vote for this because I think you would get alot of looks with a black face with a deep dish like these have. Make sure to get the 18's though. Ask pnsji, when you black out the face of the wheel, it makes it look one size smaller. 18's turn into 17's...but I love the look on a black benz with black wheels. That way the most unpleasing aspect of the wheels would be countered by the blackout.

Get the Mono 18's and paint the face black leaving the machined lip shiny. I think that look on those wheels looks amazing. I love it! I almost want to do it and I have a silver car.

I don't think he can afford the real thing....although, if you can buy the bekkers replica shown above, why not buy the monoblock bekkers replica in the sl 2 piece look in 18's....then black the face...still cheap and will look like $$$$$$

How about the lm5s blacked out but leave the lip silver???? hmm i think that would look sick..... specially on a black bnz... just my opinion though. plus i have never ever seen those rims blacked out so it would be original....thats always a nice feature to....

IF you wanted to run LM5's or any other open face wheel, you will need to upgrade the brakes (upgrade calipers or paint them, and slotted or cross-drilled rotors). Doesn't look as nice without them.

PNsji, I have already asked you about your rims, but I cant afford them, even tho your rims are exactly what I am looking for. I think I will buy replica 18's from Bekkers.com and make them black like you did pnsji, sorry if I am biting your idea.

    no biggie mang

The expensive thing is to actually powder coat and have a high polish lip. If you are really interested, let's talk. I might be able to cut you a deal if you really want them.

Thanks for the offer PNSJI, but I think I am going to just buy replica 18's for around $800 bucks. Then sometime in the future I will powdercoat them. Do you have any suggestions on where I should get them coated?

Hey pnsji, I'm guessing you started with chrome AMG monoblocks as opposed to the silver ones, am I right? I am thinking of buying 18" chrome ones for my C280. I want them to be dark though and I'm not sure if they come dark enough, all the pictures I see online are dark coz the person takes the picture inside their place where there isn't much sunlight, so I think they won't look like I want when I buy them. Which ones did you start with? And could you tell me how much it cost you to paint them like that, and if you still have them how much you're thinking of selling them for.

    Thanks, I'd really appreciate it

    Hamzeh

Oh, one more question, I saw a picture of your car (which is really nice), which lowering kit did you use?

Why are you selling them though? I think these wheels are the best for the c-class.
