compression

ive searched everywhere on the web but cant find a how to. I have a compression tester, but dont know how to run a test. Can someone who knows how describe a step by step on doing a compression test on a 95 c280.

this is for any car.

1. disconnect the power to the coils. (you have to crank the engine to do the test)
2.unscrew the spark plug.
3. screw the compression tester.
4. crank the engine with the throtle fully pressed for a couple seconds (5 or 6).
5. screw back the spark plug and repeat on all cylinders.
the engine should NOT have more than 15% of difference in the numbers.
