you need to go buy a 3/8 drive 6mm ball-head allen socket so that you can access from an angle. usually when changing the waterpump, most techs will switch the bolts to normal style heads and then use a 13mm swivel socket to re-install.
Hey there guys, I hope you can help me out. I have a 95 C280 and need to replace the water pump. I already have a new one in hand but stuck on getting the old one out. Whats the proper procedure? I have already removed the fan shroud and t-stat housing and hoses. I can see the two top allen head bolts and feel the bottom ones between the p-steering pump. What kind of tools do I need? I don't have enough room for my t handled 6mm allen head and I can't even get enough torque on it to remove the top easy to access one. Please let me know some detailed instructions and tips. Thanks for all the help in advance.. - Bryan
