    Tranny or sensor issue?

Yesterday while attemting to pass, my car kicked down to overdrive and it stop reacting. No matter how I press the gas pedal it would not react to it and it would not pass 3k rpm. The check engine light came on and I'm yet to get the code today.

Today if I drive normal car acts normal but if I put a little bit more gas on the peddal the car will not shift no matter what gear I'm on. The rpm will just go up but it will not shift.

Yes the car shifts normal just as long the rpm does not go up. 02 sensor or the MAF could be causing the issue according to the codes that we pulled.

I agree. All the responses above will just be guesses until you provide the code.

You are right, that often points to the MAF sensor and where I would start investigating first. When the MAF goes bad, it can cause other phantom codes to pop up too.

Have you tired cleaning the MAF with MAF cleaning fluid? That is often only a temporary solution but if you can get the error to at least temporarily disappear, it would give you more confidence in investing in a new MAF.

If your MAF is covered in oil, you need to solve that problem first. Check the whole crankcase ventilation system for bad checkvalves, clogs, split hoses, etc.

Ifs your doing this...change out the PCV valve, and hoses.....i'll bet you money there dry rotted and pretty clogged up. Might want to consider changing the evap on there 2.....they get clogged up pretty also. All that shit goes right into the airbox...gets that all oily threw out the pipes, supercharger, intercool, and MAF. I've seen it to be the biggest dam problem in the world...so i just disconnected it from the airbox itself
