    MAF sensor

In my quest to rid my C36 of a knock years ago, I replaced the MAF sensor. Turns out there was nothing wrong with it. I have the old one that came off available. Part number 0 280 217 517 (on the side of the sensor). On the box for the replacement it says 000 094 10 48. I'm not sure which one is the correct part number to reference when ordering.

In any case, it has been sitting downstairs with caps on the inlet/outlet, wrapped in anti-tarnish paper and in the Bosch box for almost 6 years now. I would expect there is still nothing wrong with it. I will send it free of charge to the first person who replies to this thread.
