I don't want cold air intake, and I don't really feel like making one myself. I can't find one premade for the car, so I was wondering if anyone knew of one, or knows one that will fit for our car. Any advice is appreciated!

I fabbed up a heat shield around the intakes to keep heat out. It does work wonder! Loud as hell though... especially in the morning warm up.
Only problem you might have is finding a piece for your throttle intake. I had to manipulate one from Autozone.
Also, you probably wont find a bolt on intake for Mercedes in general, unless there is someone who custom makes and ships them. But i doubt it.

What exact things did you buy to do this?
You can get all this stuff at Pep boys or autozone...
1 Coupler (The blue thing)
1 intake tube (Mine was Spectre)
2 Cone filters of your choice (make sure they fit 3'')
1 Spectre intake duct (Make sure its metal)(3'') ****NOTE: You will have to manipulate it so you can bolt on the throttle from the air box with a drill. Make sure you have Epoxy to cover any holes (it wont be perfect but it will work if you do it correctly, a friend did it for me.)
1 Spectre/Stainless steel clamp-on cotton fiber oil breather element (For the EGR tube, the small tube. You may need a clamp if you dont have one.)
My friend fabricated a heat shield. I recommend attempting to do the same so you aren't sucking up hot air.
Hope this helps you out, you are looking at around 50$ w/o the heat shield fabricated. If you need help, lemme know, Ill try n get a video made for you tomorrow.

having the recirculate on it's own like that doesn't make the car behave odd does it?
Completely mad.

I bought a cotton fiber oil breather element for it. This is the picture before it. So now there is 3 filters. Throws alot of people off lol. But as long as I had it like that, there was no issue I noticed. Big difference is the throttle response. And it feels more 'free'. Idk how to explain it.
you should post a video i bet that thing is loud!
please post video i wanna see how u did it and how it sounds
I'll work on one today. or tomorrow. Stay tuned
Is that video coming any time soon? I'm curious myself
Sorry, Ill do it first thing in the morning.

Worse heatwave ever, so I kind of slurred my words and my tourrettes acts up :P (jk about the tourrettes) Anyways, hope you guys enjoy, view the video's in order. Any questions, ask meh.
This video is for KompressorInc, that was what I meant to say Lol.
Logics intake is much more efficient. I studdered my words here. Lol.

Blow Out Valve?
Last edited by Yujin; 08-03-2011 at 11:52 AM.
blow off valve... The diverter valve would normally recirculate boost pressure back into the air box (where it is unheard on stock set ups). the valve opens when off throttle to release boost pressure from the system, it closes to create boost when the supercharger is engaged. had a similar set up on my car. except I had a complete custom supercharger inlet that I had made and ran 3" intake pipe from the cone filter to the supercharger. sounded dirty!

Hey Yujin, quick question. I have the specter filter and intake pipe like you have, but I can't get it to couple to the rubber hose form the blower. In your picture it looks like you are just using a blue silicone coupler to attach the intake tube to the rubber tube, but the rubber tube is flimsy and you can't clamp it, it just gives. How are you able to keep the intake from falling off of the rubber tube? I've got zip ties rigged at the moment, but short of replacing that rubber tube with something stiff that I can put pressure on I can't figure it out. I've tried a few different things, but I have just ended up wasting cash at autozone. their shit is over priced.

Autozone is overpriced Lol,
interesting, if you have a spare clamp, I would try to use that instead of zip ties. Or you can jerry rig the spectre filter onto the hose itself like KompressorINC did. If you can find a spare clamp, I'd use it, or drop by a junk yard and take one. I wouldnt buy a clamp from autozone, they are expensive, you have to really push that shit into the couplar, atleast an inch for it to stay put.
Hope this helps, lemme know how it turns out.
