    Facelift vs Pre-Facelift Sides

I'm finally getting around to installing my Rieger parts on my C280, but the Infinity side skirts are puzzling me. I have a pre-facelift C280 and the fitment is just awkward.

So for those of you with a facelift 202:
does your car have side skirts added on below the door as OEM equipment? I'm talking about the part that, on pre-facelifts, is black and on facelifts is color-matched to the rest of the car.

Any help is appreciated as I do not know of anyone with Rieger Infinity side skirts installed.

I have a late gen C230K and it has oem side skirts.

wikipedia has a good shot of the side skirts.

    Completely mad.
'99 C230K, intake and exhaust more on the way.
'86 MKIV Escort RS Turbo, stock for now, chip and more boost on the way
'75 Fiat 124 Spider, koni shocks, bigger carb and drilled/slotted brakes
to tune and hoon the mbz master race.

    Are the facelift sides removable?

I haven't tried, but form the looks of it the reiger side skirts and lip are direct replacements for the oem side skirts and lip.

They can be easily removed by turning the round clips using a flat blade screw driver securing them under the car. If memory serves me right, there are 4 of them on each side.

I have a 97 C230 and put one on. They're not as square as the C36 side skirts but it fits the purpose well.

So they fit our pre-facelifts then? You have a 1995 if memory serves correctly...

While I'm hitting up the salvage yard, does anyone know if the facelift and pre-facelift door panels are interchangable? I want to update the interior a bit
