just a thought, 'heat rises' think about where you're putting your intake.. In my old car, it was under my fog light.. with a massive 10 inch scoop
I'm not to good at explaining stuff without pictures, lol. Here is my engine bay right before I left for afghanistan. Some more mods to the pre-S/C portion will be done

no problem. I just wanted to know where everyone was "relocating" their maf too. Anyone know where i can get a maf tube without having to buy a new maf?
I know some people put the intakes very low for even colder air, but I don't want to run the risk of sucking up water on a rainy day after going through a puddle. I think a good heat shield should be enough. You have to make compromises between performance and practicality.
Completely mad.
'99 C230K, intake and exhaust more on the way.
'86 MKIV Escort RS Turbo, stock for now, chip and more boost on the way
'75 Fiat 124 Spider, koni shocks, bigger carb and drilled/slotted brakes
to tune and hoon the mbz master race.
I dont have a picture up here, but I have one of the AMG sport bumber for non-SLK32 cars and I do not have fog lights anymore, I may possibly put it down there, or make a scoop from down there up on both sides.
In regards to the MAF tubing, Just keep the OEM sensor housing and do like I did with new couplers/metal pipes
