    magnaflow exhaust

so surfing all these threads ive noticed everyone os going with a magnaflow exhaust. i saw a few members have the 14833 with the square duel tips. i have a c230 non kompressor so i know i wont be able to get am amazing rumble like if i had a larger engine but after watching videos it seems its not a bad sound. i just dont like the ricer sound where when you start your engine its super load and when your even sitting there idling its annoying. i just want a clean growl and from what ive seen on here and videos i can get that with the 14833 or the other ones in that series. does anyone else recommend this series?

I got a 14815 looks a lot cleaner IMHO But to each his own the square dual tip actually came on the c36 AMG's was never a fan of that look. The magnaflow still drones a bit in the cabin not as much as when it was cats to straight pipe no resonator no muffler. but i also have a m104 inline 6 with the resonator deleted and twin high flow 4600 series magnaflow cats. so its a bit deeper sounding than the 4cyl NA'ed I have heard my same muffler i have with a resonator delete on a 230NA before, in person it sounds great. hes also a member here at club202, Calling OCKlasse haha. heres a video he has of it on youtube for reference

seeing the 14833 and the 14815 are the universal series they should sound the same right? and ive never done much with cars in the exhaust area only engine wise, so what does the resonator delete do? make it louder? or with it on will it drone more?

I always thought the 14833 looked pretty cool. I was thinking of getting that one whenever I get around to changing out my muffler. I'd love to see how it looks on the car if you go through with it!

I have a 14815 but it doesn't have dual tips on a c230 kompressor with straights, its not very ricey at all, actually kinda deep to me lol Still a 4 cylinder but not a chainsaw honda

The M111 has an interesting sound. It has a deeper growl than most 4 bangers. Almost like a V6 or V8, but not as deep and no warble since its flat crank. Nobody will mistake it for a honda.
    Completely mad.

without a doubt the engine sounds great especially with an intake. i loved my engine sound when i got it then i bought my k&n and it sounds amazing its so deep when i give it gas it sucks in so much air. but i just worry about the exhaust because right now you cant hear it at all only my engine. and its obviously due to the extremely small muffler on there now it kind of looks like 2 hot dogs lol

Yeah they should all sound the same from the universal line they all use the same oval muffler just different tips. Just depends on what look you're after. The resonator will keep the car quiet If you remove it the exhaust will drone a tad bit more but will also hit a deeper note at higher RPM's its mostly just to help with sound and fuel efficiency. You do not need one to pass emissions testing even here in CA

Here is mine on a dyno with a vibrant performance muffler and reosnator. The audio quality is shit cause i used my phone and it sounds louder than it really is.

At high rpms with that muffler it sounds AMAZING. It sounds so mean and you hear the supercharger whine more, I love the sound. I can only imagine the exhaust plus the intake

magnaflow sounds really good. i like both the oval and square style, but i won't be changing my rear bumper anytime soon so the square tips would imo, look better.

When you say 4cyl NA'ed does that mean naturally aspirated? As in no Kompressor?

I have the c230 non-Kompressor and I am debating whether or not to get an magnaflow like yours because I do not want a ricey sound at all.

I dont know how the "ricey" sound is even possible considering Mercedes made your car as well as the engine. not honda... Even the 4 cyl merc engines have a distinct tone to them not rice at all.

I have a C230K 2000. With a Magnaflow 14833. Deep tone, love every thing about it. Not noisy at all. I plan to do a res delete in the future. I would look more into it, becuase you dont want to blow 150 - 200$. Of course, with a C230 N/A, your 'tone' might be a little different. But its all about research and chance.

This one time, I thought about going Magnaflow on my C43, but I heard the factory exhaust again and I thought, "nevermind."
