    Here is a picture of the cupholder I'm talking about. It's the square box under the door opener.

    My 1999 C43 & C280 both have the pop out one in the front console as pictured above. I have some travel mugs that fit tight in the left side spot, and I usually have coffee in it, or coffee in a paper cut that fits there tightly.

    My front passengers know to keep a hand on their cup as we cruise around town.i

    I also usually have the rear seat's fold down console down with its cup holder extended, and I will sometimes use one of the two cup holders of different sizes back there that match the size of an extra cup.

    i want that... had a chance to grab some at a salvage yard but i was pressed with time...

    Ive never seen that fold down center cup holder. Is that a stock option?

    Yes, in the 1999 C-Class brochure it states:
    "In the rear of the C-Class cabin, a dual cupholder slides out from the folding center armrest."
    And on the specs page, it shows it as standard in all 3 models.

    yea i got that on my 99 as well. i dont use it though because it rattles when its open.. so annoying lol

    Yeah I pulled the whole thing out because it got really annoying when it got stuck. Though the big hole should be filled with some kind of fillet.
